CAAE Association is a nonprofit organization for the development of certified Organic farming and livestock production. Among its objectives are the protection of the environment and rural development. CAAE performs activities for the promotion and diffusion of Organic products as well as educational activities with the public to promote greater knowledge of these products. CAAE Association also advises the Administration Agencies within its sector and promotes research projects in collaboration with additional organisations.
Certification of Organic products has been and continues to be one of the principle missions of CAAE Association with the objective of transmitting confidence to consumers.
As pioneers in Spain since 1991, this organization has been engaged in the control and certification of producers and handlers of products from Organic farming and livestock production.
Education Aware of the demand for training (producers, handlers, technicians, consumers, etc.) in issues related to Organic agriculture and livestock production, CAAE offers training activities and publishes educational material related to Organic Farming, Environmental Issues, Rural Development and Responsible Consumption.
Communication The Association provides an information service to its members using a range of methods and targeted to farmers, growers, livestock producers, industries, handlers and other interested people and organisations. Collaborates with the Administration, represents the Organic sector, and engages in agreements with other entities or institutions for the development and implementation of projects. Together with the involvement of its members, performs promotional and awareness campaigns with the objective of promoting the Organic sector and spreading knowledge of Organic farming and livestock production.
Organic farming awards Each year CAAE Association presents the Award for “RESEARCH in Organic Farming and Livestock Production” and the Award for “DEFENSE and PROMOTION of Organic Farming and Livestock Production” to recognise the efforts of people and organisations involved with issues related to the sector.
Magazine “Actualidad Ecológica” CAAE Association publishes the magazine "AE – Actualidad Ecológica" (Organic News) to inform society in general of the current situation and new issues regarding Organic certified products that are interesting and important. This is passed to the members of the Association and to various public and private organisations.
